We currently have 30 regional offices across Berkshire, West London, High Wycombe, Hampshire, Oxford and Alton. The main office on Portman Road can handle all calls for all of our covered areas when the other sites are not manned or are busy and can book jobs for the entire coverage area.

PESTUK have many pest control contracts in Berkshire including Pangbourne Working Mans Club, Hotels, Butchers, Take Aways, domestic premises and Cafes. We also have many pest control contracts in the Oxford Road area which has hundreds of shops, Take Aways, Restaurants, Clubs and other specialist shops. As well as the above PEST UK has many pest control contracts for commercial sites in the area as well as many schools. The pest control contracts perform a preventive function as well as dealing with pests on a call out basis (such as wasp & bee nests or ants, fleas and other insects and rodents).

Culture and Community

Every year the Reading Festival takes place which has been running since 1971. The festival takes place on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend, and is the largest festival of its kind within the UK, aside from Glastonbury Festival. Until 2006, the WOMAD festival was also held in the town until it moved to CharltonPark in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. There is also a Beer Festival, one of the largest in the UK and is held at King’s Meadow for five days preceding the May Day bank holiday every year.

The older parts of the town centre have severe pest control issues with rats due to the poor state of buildings and infrastructure of some areas. The sewers are a constant source of pest control problems regarding rats & mice. Rats will thrive in older sewer systems where they can feed & burrow into the walls of broken sewers, then spread to the surface from collapsed pipes or other breaches. A railway line and 2 rivers run through the centre of Reading, both add to Reading’s pest control problems as both supply food and cover for rats & mice.
