PEST UK have several pest control contracts in Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Surrey and North Hampshire covering scientific and research center’s. These sites are generally large. Most are clean, 8-12 visits per year and fairly easy to service. We have 2 at animal research sites where due to the animals present there was in both cases severe rat infestations that were cleared up and a contract started. We are especially proud of the one of the sites in West Berkshire as a large national company (not Rentokill on this occasion) had attempted to clear the rat infestation charging the customer thousands of pounds on top of the cost of the contract (a contract that was meant to keep the site pest free) and still failing. The customer shouldn’t have agreed to pay the pest control company for ‘extra’ work when this extra work was caused by the pest control companies inefficiency in the first place! Anyway Rick Pellen (one of our technicians) cleared up the problem in a matter of weeks. This contract also has monthly visits and any problem quickly dealt with.
We like these types of contracts at PEST UK. One of the main reasons is that these sites seem to be less strapped for cash than some other sites so proactive measures we may recommend are normally actioned without any fuss. Some of the sites are in beautiful surroundings that makes checking external baits on a sunny day quite pleasant.
The agro chemical research site is a site with many greenhouses and outbuildings which are surrounded by farmland. They even have their own sewage plant and incinerator. It is the largest site we do at PEST UK.
