What Are Silverfish and How Do You Get Rid of Them?
What are silverfish and how do you get rid of them?
We are often asked what are silverfish and how do you get rid of them? Silverfish are cigar-shaped, silvery grey wingless insect around 1 cm long. They are found in damp areas commonly in kitchens and bathrooms. They are nocturnal in their habits, they often become trapped in baths, basins. This is because they cannot climb smooth surfaces. Silverfish move quickly and have three long bristles at their tail end.
Our technicians will use a residual insecticide spray to treat the infested areas. We recommend that any damp or humid conditions are dealt with in the long run to ensure the problem is fully resolved.
