Enfield Council Pest Control

I have again contacted a local council to compare our services to theirs.

Upon contacting Enfield Council I found that the operative who answered had no knowledge of pest control and had to transfer me to the correct department. Despite calling the number on the Pest Service website. No one answered though, as it seems they close at 5pm.

At PEST UK all calls are answered by staff with training to answer your questions and to book you an appointment as swiftly as possible. Our phones are answered 24/7 by a person and not a machine.

PESTUK technicians work 7 days a week and are fully qualified members of the BPCA and PROMPT/Basis registered. The BPCA is the governing body for professional pest control companies, membership is earned by proving competency not by paying a fee for membership.

Our treatments are booked in 2 hour slots, unlike councils which will only give you a day of visit, which could be any time between 8am and 5pm. Our technicians will even call you when they are on their way meaning you don’t have to sit at home all day.

Mice in Enfield

If you hear scurrying noises late in the night or see evidence of gnawing or even smell urine it is possible you may have a rodent issue. Commonly heard in loft spaces and will travel in the wall cavities to all parts of the house, especially to areas where food can be found. They often follow the routes of pipes throughout the house.

Mouse control in Enfield involves sanitation, rodent proof construction and population reduction. The first 2 are useful as preventive measures. However when a mouse infestation already exists, some form of population reduction is almost always necessary.

The techniques we use include trapping and poisoning. Trapping will reduce a mouse population, rarely eliminate it completely and as they breed quickly elimination is the desired result. Poison baiting is the quickest way to deal with a mouse infestation.

The right bait in the right places has to be used for the whole population to feed on the bait for the treatment to succeed. The bait has to be put in the correct places, mice are territorial and if the bait is not in a mouse’s territory then it won’t take the bait.
