Bed Bugs are the pest that has increased the most in the past 10 years. Foreign travel, emigration from Eastern Europe, more densely populated areas in more crowded housing are all contributory factors to this increase. When PEST UK first started in 1989 we would probably carry out 1 or 2 bed bug jobs a year. They were a novelty and in fact in the UK only some seaside towns (and usually the poorer’ ones like Blackpool or Skegness) had problems. The increase started slowly in the late nineties until now we carry out hundreds of bed bug treatments every year.
