*Demand CS

Contains Lambda cyhalothrin. The HSE Number is 6287 and the product is made by Zeneca. Demand CS is probably the most modern insecticide available.

*Ficam D

Has a very low dermal and oral toxicity to mammals. Acute oral LD50 greater than 12000 mg/kg of 1% dust. Acute dermal LD50 greater than 5000 mg/kg of 1% dust, the highest dose that can be given.

*Ficam D (Guide to a Doctor)

Contains anti cholinesterase Carbamate insecticide. Recommended antidote is atropine sulphate 2 mg (1/30th grain) adult dose, repeated as necessary until fully atropised. Do not use pralidoxime.

*Warfarin (Guide to a Doctor)

The poison is an indirect anticoagulant. Vitamin K1 (phytomenadione) is antidotal. In cases of suspected consumption of bait, determine prothrombin times not less than 18 hours after such consumption. If elevation has occurred administer Vitamin K1 intravenously in divided doses: 40 mg for adults, 20 mg for children (daily). Treatment may be required for a prolonged period. Withdraw antidote with care and monitor prothrombin times continuously for 4 days or more after such withdrawal.

*Neosorexa/Contrac

A cereal based bait containing an anticoagulant poison, which itself contains either the poison Difenacoum @0.005% w/w, or Contrac 0.005% Bromadiolone. MAFF number is 01475.

*Talunex

Contains the active ingredient ALUMINIUM PHOSPHIDE (56%w/w). The MAFF number for this product is 01775.

*Tenopa

Made by Sorex, this insecticide contains Alphacypermethrin and Flufenoxuron. Tenopa is a very modern insecticide which contains a new insect growth regulator (Flufenoxuron) that prevents the development of eggs, larvae and nymphs. Although (Flufenoxuron) on its own is not as fast acting as a conventional insecticide, it has the advantage of lasting several months. Alphacypermethrin on its own is a highly effective, fast acting insecticide and the two together make a very effective treatment.
