PESTUK have the most contracts and offices in the Reading Central area as this is where we started our operations. There is an old sewer system in the Reading central area, this has lead to an increased level of rat, mouse and cockroach problems where the sewer system is broken or breached. As well as old sewers there are 2 rivers, a canal and railway lines through the centre. These provide pest control problems as they supply food and shelter to rats, mice, squirrels and some insect pests. Reading central cockroaches are an ever present problem we deal with.

Reading Central cockroaches

If you have a cockroach problem you will see evidence of dead and living cockroaches. Usually in kitchens or rooms with boilers and/or electrical devices such as fridges or cookers. Cockroaches are more often seen at night as they are nocturnal. They require high temperatures, though will survive and tolerate low temperatures (but won’t thrive). In a kitchen the favourite places for them to live will be inside fridges (fridge motors constantly give off heat), cookers, boilers & washing machines. they can also be found in laundry rooms, boiler rooms and anywhere where high temperatures occur.

To treat cockroaches it is best that surfaces in the area you have seen them are as clean as possible before our visit. Check with neighbors or any building connected to yours to see if they have a problem as well. The technician will have used Advion Cockroach Gel Bait, which contains Indoxacarb. the technician may choose to use one of the following insecticide sprays: Effect Microtech CS, Ficam W or K-Othrine. All insecticides used are biodegradable, almost odourless, non tainting and do not corrode or stain.
